Gripping robot and vision system
Bin picking - reaching into a crate by a robot - is one of the most important areas of research in the field of image processing and robotics. We also use alternatives such as vibrating conveyors, but we see considerable advantages with bin picking. The combination of gripper robot and vision system is easier to change over to other parts than is the case with vibrating tables, for example, where the mechanical components usually have to be redesigned. Space savings and noise reduction are further advantages.
