Eddy current testing is an electrical method for non-destructive material testing, it is used to test electrically conductive materials. Eddy current testing exploits the effect that deviations from the normal state, e.g. impurities, cracks or changes in the structure, also lead to deviations in the formation of electric fields that can be detected.
